A roadside bank taken back from kudzu.
Kudzu had covered the entire bank between the road and the creek — over the guardrail line, into the treeline, and across the culvert. Both photographs were taken from the same position, two months apart.
How it actually went
Drone photographs taken from the same position two months apart. The bank went from solid kudzu to open ground with the creek and culvert visible again.
Kudzu roots survive a season like this. The bank will push growth again, and holding it takes repeat grazing over following seasons. What you're looking at is what one season of pressure does to an infestation that had taken the whole slope.

Kudzu on a working farm.
The owner had tried to find a way to control an established kudzu infestation spreading through wooded ground. We sectioned the property, ran the herd through with guardian dogs on site, and moved fencing forward as each area came down. He rebooked us for the following spring to hit the regrowth — which is exactly how kudzu control is supposed to work.
