Eco Grazers goats clearing dense vine growth on a wooded property

Statesville & Iredell County

Goatscaping in Statesville.

Straight down I-77 from our farm, and one of the counties we work most.

Why grazing fits Statesville properties

Iredell County is farm country giving way to development, and that transition is where vegetation problems tend to sit. Old fence lines that stopped being maintained when a field came out of production. Field edges and treelines gone to brush and vine. Creek and branch crossings on working land where nobody wants spray going into the water.

Kudzu is well established through this part of the county, particularly along the older road banks and on ground that changed hands and sat idle for a season or two. It doesn't take long — a bank that looked manageable in May is a wall by August.

Getting here is straightforward for us, which matters more than people expect. A short haul down I-77 means we can section a property, move fencing forward as areas come down, and check the herd properly without the drive eating the day.

What we're usually called for here

  • Kudzu on road banks, field edges and idle ground
  • Overgrown fence lines and treelines on working farms
  • Creek and branch buffers where herbicide runoff is a concern
  • Pasture edges lost to briar, honeysuckle and multiflora rose
  • Wooded lots and acreage being brought back into use

Getting an estimate

We come out and walk the property with you — the terrain, the access, what's actually growing and how established it is. You get a plan and a price on site, and an honest answer about whether grazing is the right tool for your particular piece of ground. Sometimes it isn't, and we'll say so.

Call (336) 502-4628, or send us the details and we'll get back to you.
